Country supplement: India

Last updated: 2 November 2026

For review by lawyer. This is a draft that describes what EaglesEntry does today. It is published so the structure and wording can be reviewed; it is not yet approved by counsel. Notes marked “For review by lawyer” show where counsel’s input decides the text.

For review by lawyer. India edition. A India supplement to the Privacy Policy and User Agreement applies, including local data-transfer notices and your complaint route.

How the User Agreement and Privacy Policy apply to members who live in India. Your declared country of residence decides which supplement applies to you, whatever edition you are browsing. Change it in Settings › Account preferences › Country of residence.

1. Who this supplement is for

This supplement applies to you if you told us you live in India. Visiting another edition, or travelling, does not change it: the rules follow your residence, not your IP address, and we never redirect you by location.

For review by lawyer: confirm the residence rule for India (EDPB Guidelines 3/2018 for the EU; the national equivalent elsewhere).

2. Your privacy rights

Your complaint route is Data Protection Board of India. We answer requests to access, correct, delete or export your data within 30 days.

Your data is processed in the United States. The transfer notices for India are in the Privacy Policy.

For review by lawyer: insert the representative’s name and address, the transfer mechanism and the DPA link for India.

3. Cookies, visit measurement and marketing

Nothing that is not strictly necessary runs before you say yes: no visit measurement, no analytics, no marketing cookies. “Reject” sits next to “Accept” with equal weight, and we remember a refusal for six months so we don’t ask again.

We send marketing messages only with your consent, and we honour an unsubscribe within the time your law sets (five business days in Australia, five working days in New Zealand, ten business days in Canada).

EaglesEntry is for people aged 18 and over. For completeness: the digital consent age in India is 18.

4. Applying, recruiters and paid features

You can apply inside EaglesEntry to jobs posted here by employers in countries that allow it; for every other job you apply on the employer’s own site.

Employers may post jobs located in your country directly on EaglesEntry after our check.

Only the resume pitches you approve can be heard by recruiters, and Candidate Discovery is opt-in.

Searching, saving and applying are free. Any paid product for job seekers would be a separate tools product, never a fee linked to a job.

For review by lawyer: confirm the employment-agency position for India before any in-platform feature opens there.

5. Job postings in India

Pay is shown only as the employer posted it; a posting without pay says so. Experience is shown as the employer stated it.

Notice languages for India: en. English pages are served until the translated pages ship.

6. India specifics

  • Grievance Officer: contact details, acknowledgement within 24 hours and resolution within 7 days are on the Grievance Officer page (IT Rules 2021 as amended in 2026).
  • Members in India see jobs in India only; foreign jobs stay off until counsel confirms the Emigration Act position.
  • Spoken AI content (pitch audio, Electron’s voice) carries an “AI voice” label and metadata; the 2026 rules confine labelling to audio and visual content, so AI text is labelled as good practice only.
  • Court or government orders to remove content are acted on within three hours of receipt.
  • We do not track members under 18 (DPDP Act s.9(3)). The Data Protection Board of India is your complaint route.

For review by lawyer: every line above is a draft from legal-research/country-editions; confirm each statute reference before publishing.
